$57,600
An Elvis Presley stage worn white deerskin jacket. The jacket was part of a group of eight suits custom made for Presley by North Beach Leathers in the 1970s. Embellished with a painted floral design on collar, cuffs, chest and back. Constructed with white lacing, Velcro closure at sides and cuffs. With a pair of matching white leather pants that were not worn by Presley. Accompanied by a photograph of Presley wearing a similar jacket on stage and several letters of authenticity. The first is from Bud Glass, of The King’s Ransom Museum, who states that the jacket was one of a handful of costumes made for Presley by North Beach Leathers. Presley gave the jacket to actor Chad Everett, who later gave the jacket to a friend, who sold the jacket to a museum, where it was purchased by Glass. The second letter is from Bill Morgan of North Beach Leathers stating that the jacket was part of the “Las Vegas Hilton Collection” custom made by North Beach Leathers for Presley in the early 1970s. Presley wore the custom leather items during his performances at the Hilton. The third letter is from the Gettysburg Museum of History. It describes the history and provenance of the jacket. An additional letter is from Carol Fluke, who sold the jacket to the Gettysburg Museum. Categories: Elvis Presley
