A letter from the office of Col. Tom Parker to Elvis Presley fans dated April 1, 1963. The letter reads in part, “Dear Friend: Elvis’ first single release of 1963. ONE BROKEN HEART FOR SALE / THEY REMIND ME TOO MUCH OF YOU, started the year off in a big way. Both of these songs are from the M.G.M. picture IT HAPPENED AT THE WORLD’S FAIR. Plans are in the works for the complete sound track in an LP album of all the songs Elvis sings in this happy family picture.” The letter closes with a signature that reads “Colonel Parker’s Office.” Accompanied by the original transmittal envelope and a copy of the single release mentioned in the letter.
