A script of the classic Elvis Presley film The Trouble With Girls (MGM, 1969). The cover of the script bears the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer script department header, the working title “CHAUTAUQUA,” producer/writer credits, and the script date of August 28, 1968, has been crossed out with a black felt tip marker. The back of the front cover has the production date “Oct. 28, 68’” handwritten in black ink at the top left corner. The Trouble With Girls was adapted from the 1960 novel Chautauqua by Day Keene and Dwight Vincent Babcock. The producers of the film changed the title prior to release, stemming from concerns that film audiences would not understand the title or be able to pronounce it.
