A pair of vintage Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses made for the character Joliet Jake Blues (John Belushi) to wear in the motion picture The Blues Brothers (Universal, 1980) also starring Dan Aykroyd. This item was acquired directly from the film's Assistant Property Master who worked closely with both Belushi and Aykroyd both on the sound stages and on location in Chicago. The assistant property master was was responsible for all of the key hand props used by Belushi and Akroyd during filming. Ray Ban supplied two different sungalass models to the production, the brown and black faux tortoise shell frames for Belushi and the shiny black frames for Ackroyd. The sunglasses were a limited addition run that had customized tinted lenses to deflect the various lighting on set. Not worn in the final version of the film. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a copy of the film. Categories:
