A khaki U. S. Navy jacket worn by William Holden as Lt. Cmdr. Ken White in Submarine Command (Paramount, 1951). The jacket has a notched lapel, four flap patch pockets, gold eagle buttons, gold winged medal at left chest, and two black and gold board epaulets. An internal Cavis Clothing Co. Boston manufacturers label inscribed in inner pocket “Holden #2” and dry cleaning tag inscribed “C2” are present. Holden wore the jacket while revisiting his submarine and at the military offices in Submarine Command . Insignia added for display only. Costume design by Edith Head.
