Pencil on paper, by Billy White Jr. , 1987, used as the album cover image for Guns N' Roses "Appetite for Destruction." This design was drawn as the artwork for Axl Rose's tattoo and re-drawn by Andy Engell for the album cover when the first "Appetite for Destruction" artwork was rejected for being too offensive. David Geffen is said to have liked the tattoo and chose White Jr.'s artwork as the new cover image. Rose had the tattoo inked by Robert Benedetti at Sunset Strip Tattoo Studio while still recording "Appetite." It was the bands first release and catapulted them to stardom. The album has gone platinum 18 times. 18 1/4 by 14 1/2 inches Categories:
