As a self-taught, award winning artist, Donna Dowless has not only become a staple in the Orlando art community but has made an impact world wide. After three decades in the entertainment industry, she has encountered many unique artists and entertainers all of whom have left indelible impressions that continue to stir her desire to create. An early l970's encounter with Andy Warhol left her with these words of wisdom: "If you are an artist in your heart, so be it!" Donna's inspiration has since transcended into her work with a rich palette and depth of tones and textures. Each of her pieces is an invitation to the viewer to visualize special moments in his or her own life. Donna's art is a reflection of who she is. Her work is a realization of a life long dream. A sense of tranquility and respect for life impact her images. She creates compositions of balance and harmony expressing affirmations from the heart. Because of Donna's inspirational efforts to spread love through art and culture, Mayor Buddy Dyer and the City of Orlando appointed her Orlando's official "Ambassador of Love."
