Edward G. Robinson coat from House of Strangers (20th Century Fox, 1949). Charcoal single breasted wool jacket with three button closure, piping at lapel and pockets, label on interior breast pocket from Acuna Hollywood and 20th Century Fox label that reads “Job A563 /Date 1–49 /ED. G. Robinson.” The film’s wardrobe director was Charles LeMaire. Robinson won the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival. Accompanied by a 20th Century Fox publicity film still of Robinson wearing this jacket and a copy of the film. Categories:
