Mauve silk dress with ivory flowers and Mountbatten pink accents, handwritten label reads, “ESTHER WILLIAMS 4008. ” Williams spent much of her career with MGM after being discovered at the 1939–41 San Francisco World’s Fair. Williams rarely used a stunt double and sustained multiple injuries from her amazing underwater work, including a broken neck. Please note this item is in poor condition due to age and stage use.
