Collection of items from W. D. Kelly including two telegrams, two MGM internal memos, Battleground program from movie premiere, “The Squawk” newsletter from the MGM Sound Department, three photographs from the MGM Research Department—two from White Studio New York. The telegrams are addressed to Danny (DJ) Gray, who at one point was head of the editorial department at MGM, dating from 1928 and 1929, regarding costuming. MGM internal memos from W.D. Kelly and Mike Solomon regarding "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" (MGM, 1949) costume hats, this Busby Berkeley film starred Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly. W.D. Kelly was a censor at MGM who appears to have worked closely with the studio on appropriate costuming. Largest, 14 by 11 1/4 inches Categories:
