Epiphone Casino Guitar. Born in America in the 90's into a family/band of Afro-Hatian roots music, I struggled to understand the difference between the music of pop culture and the music happening in my home. Effortlessly, I fell in love with both my Hatian roots music and my inheritence of pure rock, jazz, folk and country. As I got older I started to interpret music itself and, unconciously, my style became a fusion of the five styles. My inspiration comes from artists like Tracy Chapman, Sting, and Peter Gabriel, incorporated with the rhythms and traditional songs of Vondou jazz music. I have been performing for ten years and audience members still ask me to describe my music. I reply "It's kind of like jazz, rock, folk, country, roots music. "Miami is a melting pot of people and their music. There's rhumba from Cuba, Latin music from South America, Calypso from Trinidad, Reggae from Jamaica, Compas from Haiti, and so much more. "Miami Jazz" is a reflection of the music that has migrated to Miami. The vibrant colored glass collage interprets the celebration of these styles of music. The glass application takes loose forms to portray the freedom of expression in every Miami musician. Black and gold is displayed as the origin of all music, Africa. The different forms of music in Miami evolve from the purest forms of Jazz, which make Miami Jazz. Categories: Epiphone Casino Guitar
