The receipts detail the food delivered to Monroe in late May of 1962 when she arrived in New York to attend the birthday celebration of President John F. Kennedy, leaving Los Angeles in the midst of filming "Something’s Got to Give." Items listed include, pork chops, multiple steaks, milk, margarine, endive, artichokes, cucumber, eggs, chicken, and jam. The store was about six blocks from Monroe’s New York apartment.
