Small collection of letters written to Ann Miller dating from 1939—from her father, her agent at William Morris, and her fans. Also present is a sheet of lyrics and Miller’s handwritten response to a favorable review. At this time, Miller was in New York performing in her first Broadway show, surprising everyone with her success on stage. Her agent at William Morris, Abe Lastfogel wrote in part, “…The publicity you are receiving nationally is far beyond anything I anticipated…” Among the letters is a signed document labeled “Release” terminating an agreement between Miller’s father J.A.
