Gibson Guitar Sclupture, 10 foot tall, fiberglass. Born David LeBatard in 1972 in New York City, LEBO was raised in South Florida and graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Fine arts degree. He resided as a lecturer on the practical and technical approaches of Cartoon Art from 1992-1995 at the International Museum of Cartoon Art in Boca Raton, FL. After his first exhibition at Johnson & Wales University in North Miami in 1996, LEBO began selling his vibrantly colored, soulfully infused paintings. In 2000, he travelled to New Orleans to create interior murals at the home of NFL star Ricky Williams which, upon completion, were featured on MTV's "Cribs". In 2003 he was chosen to create the commissioned artwork for the Latin Grammy Awards. Music is a universal language that serves to inspire, soothe, heal, engage and bring like minded energies together. With this idea serving as the model, "6 strings towards Heaven" hopes to illustrate this idea through the use of both abstract and narritive iconography. Categories: Gibson Guitar
