John L. Hooker and Johnny Winter signed Gibson Epiphone Junior, with mahogany neck and body, rosewood fretboard, tobacco sunburst finish. This guitar was played at a 1982 charity blues concert by John Lee Hooker, Johnny Winter, BB King and Buddy Guy. Winter began singing the blues as a young man and began his recording career at age fifteen. The bluesman can still be seen on tour today. He and his brother Edgar may be the only two Blues musicians in history to have albinism. Rock Hall of Famer John Lee Hooker was introduced to the blues by his step-father who taught him a different style of music than the delta style blues popular at the time. With his boogie-woogie style and idiosyncratic playing he brought a new style of blues to musicians and auciences. Hooker is credited as influencing such bands as the Yardbirds, Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac and the Rolling Stones.
