A white and purple acetate satin boxing robe worn by Evander Holyfield for his first fight against Lennox Lewis on March 13, 1999 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The robe was worn by Holyfield in his locker room in advance of the fight and for his enterance into the ring. The robe features white lapels with a purple collar and red striping throughout. "Holyfield Warrior" logos appear on the front upper right and left of the robe, as well as a larger logo on the back of the robe. Appearing at the bottom of the back of the robe in purple embroidered lettering is "PHIL 4:13" which refers to one of Holyfield's favorite bible verses. The actual text of the verse appears above in silver embroidered lettering "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Holyfield and Lewis would fight the full scheduled 12 rounds with the fight ending up in a draw, thus setting up the re-match in November 1999. Categories: Evander Holyfield
