Paint medium on fiberglass, signed by ZZ Top. This Gibson Guitar sculpture includes a photograph of ZZ Top with the guitar. 10 by 3 1/2 feet Native Austinite Cindy "Crash" Raschke is all about "Keeping Austin Weird" with a paintbrush. She graduated with a fine art degree from The University of Texas in 1985 and then systematically began painting any and everything that crossed her path…at this point there is almost nothing she hasn't put a brush to. Most recently she has specialized in transportation customization, working on a wide variety of Hot Rods, Harleys, Choppers, Vespas, Bicycles, and even a taco van. Her personal ride is bumper to bumper Hawaiian print, and she looks forward to someday opening her own car art garage / gallery. Her partner on the GuitarTown project is Craig Barnes, fellow transportation artist and airbrush expert. The two have collaborated on many projects and his technical skills were vital to the design of the Rockabilly guitar. "Creature" Craig is the house artist for Poorboy Customs in Pflugerville, Texas and has been tricking out custom Harleys and Choppers in the Austin area for the last six years. Both artists would like to thank Poorboy Customs for all their assistance on this project. Also thanks to all the rockabilly bands rockin' Austin for their continuing inspiration.
