Oils and gesso on a SG standard Gibson Electric Guitar. Mahogany neck and body, rosewood fingerboard, humbucking neck and bridge pick ups. 39 by 13 inches Bob Schneider grew up mostly in Germany. The son of an opera singer and teacher, his parents supported his creative side from an early age. He won numerous international art competitions in his teens and attended The University of Maryland, Munich campus as well as The University of El Paso, as a fine arts major. He dropped out of school and moved to Austin to pursue a career in music and continued working as an artist in a number of T-shirt companies in Austin, most notable Bee-bop T-shirt Co. in the late 80s, taking the place of Frank Kozik there. He has had two solo shows in Austin of his fine art intaglio prints, at Flatbed Press and Gallery. He has also exhibited his work at the Austin Museum of Art. Categories:
