Glass mirror mosaic on fiberglass. 10 by 3 1/2 feet Shanny Lott The guitar that I made for the Gibson GuitarTown project marked a return to my sculpture background. I wanted to make a piece that “reflected” the true nature of Austin. This dynamic city is very cutting edge and people flock here because they see themselves reflected in the diversity of the town. The guitar is covered with over 3,000 mirrors, some as small as ½ inch by ¼ inch. It took over 100 hours to craft. . When I look into the mirror that is Austin, I see myself as a part of a wonderful mosaic. Categories:
