Prison Pencil on Acrylic on fiberglass, signed by Mark Knopfler 3100 mm by 1070 mm HM Prison Pentonville was the first modern prison to open in London. It boasted separate cells for its population. It has hosted many artistic and musical guests if, thankfully, only briefly. Today, Mike Cahillane is a member of the prison education team and oversaw the execution of this guitar. ‘’The guitar has always been a true friend to me and I am proud to be associated with Gibson Guitartown London, a great charitable initiative supporting three deserving charities”. “The guitar looks amazing and the inmates at Pentonville have done an incredible job to capture the spirit of the featured guitar legends, I hope the guitar sells well when it goes under the hammer.’’ Mark Knopfler "Ville boys show the true power of the pencil."
