Jimi Hendrix signed receipt, written on Jeffery & chandler, INC. stationary regarding the purchase of Ampex tape machines for Electric Lady Studios, from Jim Marron and signed by Hendrix and Michael Jeffrey. The cost of the machines was $84,000 or almost $500,000 in today's economy. Electric Lady Studio was in itself a costly endeavor between Jeffrey and Hendrix. The building took twice as long to construct as planned and ultimately Hendrix was only able to use the space for four weeks before his untimely death.
