Dated "January 1973" and written on National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences stationary, informs Clapton of his co-nomination for Album of the Year for "The Concert for Bangla Desh. " Clapton, George Harrison and many other artists did win Album of the Year for this recording. The concert inself took place in 1971 and was arranged by George Harrison and Ravi Shankar. Harrison wanted to surround himself with his friends which included Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan who were reclusive at the time.
