Letter dated June 22, 1955 from David Golding, Director of Advertising and Publicity from Samuel Goldwyn Productions. Accompanied by a photograph of Brando and a photograph of the film's poster. The letter reminds Brando of a "Guys and Dolls" (Samuel Goldwyn, 1955) publicity piece and states in part "Anyhow, because we live in a world of red tape, I am forced to send this letter to you and ask you to sign and return the copies. Don't ask me why..." The film was the 1956 Golden Globe winner for best Motion Picture musical/Comedy. Brando was a questionable choice for the singing Sky Masterson. No one questioned the choice more than his co-star Frank Sinatra who wanted the part for himself. Categories: Marlon Brando
