Black and white photograph of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, at the time General Eisenhower, in uniform. Inscribed: "To Bob Hope with appreciation for a great job in national office Dwight Eisenhower." This may be the photograph that Hope was given in 1943. According to an article written by Bob Hope (London Daily Express November 16, 1943) "…and then he autographed one of his own pictures for me. He told me to select the pose I liked best. I did, and he looked at it and disappointedly and said ; 'Nobody ever takes one I like.' I remember he asked if we had done much work for the British and the boys in the RAF. When I told him that we had done quite a bit he said : 'I'll consider it a personal favour any time you can do a show for the English boys, because we are fighting together, and we must laugh together.'" 7 by 5 inches Categories: Bob Hope
