A black velvet sequined leotard worn by Leslie Caron in Glory Alley (MGM, 1952). The form fitting leotard has a single strap that goes over the right shoulder. The left chest is embellished in black sequins and cobalt beads forming a circular pattern. The velvet has sequins in a sunburst pattern and drapes over the right chest to the left hip over a heavily sequined bottom. There is a separate bustle tail piece present of black velvet with sequins and a purple satin lining that is not original to the costume. The costumes were designed by Helen Rose. A bias label reads "15649155 Leslie Caron." Categories:
