A gown worn by Esther Williams in Duchess of Idaho (MGM, 1950). The blue-grey gown is embellished with cobalt bugle beads. The heavily beaded neckline creates a draping effect and converges with the single asymmetrical right shoulder strap. The gown has a fitted bodice with a heavily beaded belt and a full skirt. Bugle beads form vertical stripes on the entire dress. Costume design by Helen Rose. There are a bias label that reads "1475-6690 E.Williams" and an MGM stamp. Accompanied by a black and white publicity photograph of Williams wearing the gown and a copy of the film. Categories:
