A black satin period gown worn by Rita Hayworth in The Strawberry Blonde (Warner Bros. , 1941). The full-length gown has a fitted boned bodice with small puffed sleeves and a full trained skirt that is lined with a pleated coral taffeta. The gown is embellished with a floral sequin applique running diagonally from the right bust to the left skirt hem, at the neckline, and on the sleeves. There is replacement lace trimming the low-cut neckline. The sleeve cuffs have handmade fringes of beads and paillettes. Costume design by Orry-Kelly. Accompanied by three black and white publicity photographs of Hayworth wearing the gown. Categories:
