A pastel period gown worn by Loretta Young in The Men in Her Life (Columbia, 1941). The gown has a fitted boned bodice that has sheer puffed sleeves with flounces and a full hoop skirt that is formed in four tiers of sheer netted fabric with embroidered pastel floral clusters. The skirt is trimmed with blue velvet ribbons and bows. There is a built-in taffeta petticoat. The gown is stamped "S.GOLDWYN" and "1 27 7 4806." It also has a bias label that reads "1-22-8-1836 J. Tierney." Costume design by Charles Le Maire. The bodice and sleeves have been reworked post production. Accompanied by two black and white production photographs of Young wearing the gown. One photograph has a snipe on verso with a description of the gown. Categories:
