A printed cotton campaign handkerchief in support of presidential candidate Benjamin Harrison and vice presidential candidate Whitelaw Reid from 1892. Harrison was campaigning for re-election alongside his new vice presidential running mate Reid after dropping former Vice President Levi Morton from his ticket. Harrison lost the election to Grover Cleveland, whom he had replaced as president in 1889. The handkerchief is printed with a blue ground and portraits of both men. Printed at corner: "Martha . Washington . S.H. Greene & Sons." Martha Washington refers to the pattern on the kerchief, and S.H. Greene & Sons refers to The Clyde Bleachery and Print Works where the item was printed in Warwick, Rhode Island. 20 1/4 by 20 3/4 inches Categories:
