Two blue silk day dresses attributed to Maureen O'Hara in The Wings of Eagles (MGM, 1957). The first is slate blue with full-length sleeves, a matching belt, silk buttons at front closure, and a ten gored skirt. There are an MGM dry cleaning label and bias label that reads “1701-5356 Maureen O’Hara.” The second is navy blue embroidered with white crescent moons throughout and has three-quarter sleeves with scalloped collar and front closure. It has a bias label that reads “1701-5361 M. O’Hara.” This one was not seen in the final cut of the film. Costume design by Walter Plunkett. Accompanied by a copy of the film. Categories:
