A blue acetate satin EVERLAST boxing robe with cotton terry cloth lining worn by Evander Holyfield for his Heavyweight fight against Bert Cooper on November 23, 1991 at the The Omni in Atlanta, Georgia. The robe features yellow lapels, cuffs and pocket stripes with a blue zippered hood and yellow belt. In addition there is an EVERLAST logo stitched into the upper left breast pocket of the robe. Stitched into the back of the robe in yellow embroidered lettering is "Evander/ "Real Deal"/ Holyfield." After his fight with George Foreman, Holyfield signed a deal to fight Mike Tyson in November of 1991. Tyson later withdrew from the fight claiming he had been injured in training. With a contract still to be fulfilled, Cooper was then contracted to fight Holyfield. After knocking down Cooper in the first round, Cooper responded in the third round by scoring a technical knockdown of Holyfield - the first of his career. Holyfield would go on to win the fight by technical knockout at 2:58 in the seventh of the scheduled 12 rounds in the fight. During the fight in rounds three and five through seven, Holyfield landed a total of 43 right uppercut punches to Coopers chin, one of which actually splitting open Holyfeld's glove which resulted in a stoppage so that Holyfield could replace the split glove. Accompanied by a mounted color image, owned by Evander Holyfield, of Holyfield in the ring with Cooper. Categories: Evander Holyfield
