A purple felt, leather, and elastic eye mask worn by John Hart as he portrayed the Lone Ranger during the 1950s. Signed and inscribed twice: “John Hart/The Lone Ranger” in indelible black ink. Hart replaced Clayton Moore for 52 episodes of popular television show after Moore left because of a purported pay dispute. Also present is an 8 by 10 inch black and white studio portrait of Hart wearing the mask as he portrayed The Lone Ranger. Approximately 24 inches length. From the collection John Hart, who portrayed one of vintage western’s favorite heroes - the Lone Ranger, for 52 episodes during the mid 1950s. Categories:
