John Lennon signed receipt for the purchase at auction of Dornish Island, dated May 5, 1967, signed by John Lennon and marked paid, housed here with two architectural drawings, a photo of Lennon and the image from the cover of the Beatle's "Sgt. Pepper's lonely Hearts Club band." Also present are 11 other drawings and plans for the islands construction. Lennon received permission to build on the 19 acre Island, but he delayed after the ending, in 1968, of his marriage with Cynthia Lennon. Lennon and second wife Yoko Ono had plans to build a retreat there but were unable to before John's death.
