PW5AW Pro-Mark Larry Mullen Jr. drumsticks, 16 inches, .551 diameter, made of Japanese oak, housed in a shadow box with a photograph of U2. Mullen began drumming at age 9 after a failed attempt at learning how to play the piano. He relates in U2 by U2 (Harper Collins, 2006) that his parents told him if he wanted to take drum lessons he would need to pay for them himself. He raised the nine pounds for the first term by mowing lawns and washing cars. After seeing his dedication his parents paid for his subsequent terms. Originally purchased at the Philadelphia Music Alliance Charity Auction in 1992. Categories:
