A collection of items personally donated to Music Rising by Patti Smith. Collection includes: 12 buttons, 6 guitar picks, long sleeve army green tour shirt with "Patti Smith" embroidered over the left breast, a 2006 silver gelatin photo print taken by Smith of William Blake's London grave, a signed copy of Smith's book "Early Work," a copy of Smiths book of poetry "Auguries of Innocence," "Strange Messenger" catalog of her exhibit at the Andy Warhol Museum, and a copy of "The Coral Sea." Patti Smith is a photographer, painter, singer, songwriter, poet and activist. Given the mantle "The Godmother of Punk" for her influential work in creating that music movement. In 2007 her contributions to the music world were acknowledged when she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Categories:
