Oils on paper, titled "William's Special #2", signed "Frank Zappa '61" Zappa received his first guitar in 1957 at the time he was in the band "The Blackouts" with Don Van Viet aka Captain Beefheart. In 1958 Zappa worked in advertising and throughout his life was able to merge his musical philosophy into his art and his visual art sensibilities into his music.
