Black and white photograph of Hope with world renowned cellist, Gregor Piatigorsky. Piatigorsky inscribed the matte, "For Bob with affection and admiration Grisha 1972" Musician is holding a cello. Piatigorsky, or Grisha, as he was called by his friends, was born in what is now the Ukraine. When Russian officials refused to let him continue his studies of the cello abroad, he fled with other artists into Poland.
