Boxed set of tea service flatware in black leather case. The set was donated by HRM Queen Elizabeth II to a church charity sale. The set was purchased by Hope and remained on display at the church for several years until it was added to the trophy case where it appeared on the Septmber of 1953 inventory. 8 by 12 inches Documentation of provenance including: Gift Card from auction noting it was from Her Majesty The Queen, on Buckingham Palace Stationery donated with the item to a church charity campaign. 3 ¾ by 4 ¾ inches Letter signed by Prince Philip on Buckingham Palace Stationery about Bob Hope purchase and display of item. No date. 9 ½ by 7 ½ inches Letter to Bob Hope from Martin Gang enclosed with Prince Philip’s letter. Dated September 11, 1952. 10 by 8 inches Letter from St. Pancras Church Vestry Vicar, Frank E. Jones, thanking Bob Hope for the purchase and display.
