"King Creole" soundtrack vinyl 33 1/3 rpm album, 1958, signed "Elvis Presley" in red ink. "King Creole" was based on the Harold Robbins novel “A Stone For Danny Fisher.” 23 year old Presley got a 60-day extension from his draft board to finish filming this movie before he was inducted into the U.S. Army. It was the height of Elvis' popularity and many worried that a two year stint in the army would diminish his popularity. Those fears were dashed as a few months later Dick Clark telephoned Presley on his 24th birthday to tell him that he had been voted best singer of the year and ‘King Creole’ had won Best Song of the Year for 1958 on American Bandstand. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Vintage 429 President, Joseph Sutton. 12 3/4 by 12 3/4 inches, framed Categories: Elvis Presley
