Acrylic, varnish and ultra fine glitter on fiberglass, signed by The Magic Numbers 3100 mm by 1070 mm Gail Jones Since graduating with a textile and fashion degree from Nottingham Trent University and London College of Fashion respectively, I have mostly worked as a fashion stylist for various artists and bands and as an illustrator for designers and film production companies. As an artist I am influenced by the glamour of fashion and the artwork found in rock posters over the last 50 years. I produce quite graphic, often embellished pieces fused together with a variety of media. The artist says of this piece: "Two weeks before finishing my guitar, I realized that it could be stood upright after all! I had been designing and painting it lying flat on the ground using step ladders to look down at its progress." Categories:
