A black wool and rayon pinstripe western-style shirt with snap button closure and two exterior pockets. The shirt was purchased by Elvis during the filming of Loving You (Paramount Pictures, 1957), Elvis' second film. The shirt has a Werstein's of California Western Wear label. Werstein's was the sister store of Nudie's Western Wear. The shirt was given to Thorne Nogar, the sound engineer on Presley's Pot Luck With Elvis recording. The two had joked about fashion and being cowboys, and Nogar stated he was no cowboy. Presley returned the next day with a box of clothing for Nogar.
