A letter of character is in support of his friend and colleague, Joe South, who faced criminal charges. Cash writes, "Hon. Andrew Whalen, I have known Joe South for many years. I know him as a multi-talented, sensitive individual. Though in the past, Joe has had many difficulties in his personal life; difficulties which extend to law breaking outside his personal affairs. For the past many months Joe has earnestly been trying to once again become active in the music community here in Nashville as well as in Georgia, a great influence for good on the lives of untold thousands of people." Signed "Johnny Cash." South, a GRAMMY Award winning singer/songwriter, was best known for writing such popular hits as "Don't It Make You Want to Go Home", "Walk a Mile In My Shoes", and the Grammy winning ballad "Games People Play". 9 by 6 inches Categories: Johnny Cash
