The letter reads in part, "Mrs. Nixon and I were delighted to have the opportunity to welcome you and Mrs. Cash to the White House last Friday and I want to express my thanks to you for the superb entertainment you provided for all of us who had the privilege of seeing you. The spirit of your music and your message demands great talent as well as a special kind of integrity.
