A group of five letters written by Marlene Dietrich to her husband, Rudolf Sieber, during her USO tour during World War II. Letters pertain to her day-to-day activities, experiences overseas, and general thoughts, especially her feelings of loneliness and homesickness. One letter reads in part, "I wish I were home! How come they have sent me here!..." Some in original transmittal envelopes dated 1944-1945. All marked with date received on envelope or letter in Sieber's hand.
