A two-piece wooden stage extracted from The Marquee Club at 90 Wardour Street in London, where on January 24, 1967, The Jimi Hendrix Experience played. The Marquee Club opened at its Wardour Street location in June 1964. It has been called “the most important venue in the history of European pop music.” It was the venue for emerging pop and the 60s British rhythm and blues bands to introduce themselves and later return for secret shows for their fans. Among the musicians who graced this stage were David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Cream, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and The Moody Blues. In 1988, the Wardour Street location was closed and the site was redeveloped. The Marquee Club relocated to 105 Charing Cross Road and left behind this famous stage, which was sold to a private collector and is offered for sale for the first time here. The stage is accompanied by a door from the club. 147 by 48 inches, overall Categories:
