A black cape with D. A. Millings and Son tag and handwritten "R" above label. The cape, which is lined in red satin, can be seen in the alps scenes of Help! (United Artists, 1965) worn by Ringo Starr. The item was purchased in the late 1960s from an Oxfam store in Highgate, where Starr had donated several items. The current consignor spoke to Dougie Millings' son, Gordon Millings, who confirmed that this was a one-of-a-kind item tailored for the Beatle. Four-button closure, no size present.
