A handwritten note to George Bernard Shaw from Bram Stoker dated "10/7/04," regarding a proposed meeting with Stoker's employer, actor Henry Irving. The note reads in full, "My dear Shaw, Sir Henry asks me to convey his warm greeting and thanks for your letter. He hopes he may be in Drury early in 1905 and shall be delighted to see you then or at any time Believe me, Sincerely Bram Stoker." The letter, written on Henry Irving stationery, is housed with an image of Stoker and the signed portion of the letter visible. Irving, who ran the Lyceum Theatre and employed Stoker as business manager there, had feuded with Shaw over poor reviews of Irving's theatrical work. It has been said that Stoker tried to intervene on Irving's behalf. 39 1/2 by 23 inches, overall Categories:
