A Bat Cowl worn by George Clooney as the Caped Crusader in the third installment of the Batman movie franchise Batman & Robin (Warner Bros. , 1997). The cowl is made from rubber and is a subtle purple black color with strengthening supports around the forehead. The ears are also reinforced at the tips. There are two loops at the side that help attach the cowl to the main body of the suit; small bat-shaped clips were used to do this. The material used to make this cowl is a little thinner and more flexible than the previous incarnations; the actors who had played Batman before had all complained of the lack of movement that the costume allowed. Director Joel Schumacher, a former costume designer himself, helped develop the costume to offer Clooney more flexibility. Presented on a display stand, this iconic costume piece stands at 24 inches. Accompanied by a copy of the film. Categories: Batman
