A black sequin net over nude silk chiffon halter leotard with extensive beading and rhine- stone embellishment. Midler wore this leotard during per- formances of her historic 1975, Clams On The Half Shell Revue at the Minskoff theater on Broadway. "'Clams On The Half Shell' was designed by Tony Walton, who did a brilliant job on both sets and costumes. His set for King Kong blew people away, and was copied by people who should have known better.
