A pair of distressed cotton knickers with patches and sin- gle suspender with a matching shrug vest both with labels reading, “Barbara Matera Miss Midler. ” Together with a white fur muff and stole. Worn by Midler as she portrayed her “Nanette” character during her 1976 HBO television special The Bette Midler Show as well as during performances of her 1975 through 1976 Depression Tour . "To work with the late Patricia Zipprodt was a dream come true for me. I knew Pat's work from 'Fiddler On The Roof' which I was in for three years. The costume I wore for three years looked like rags, but how it moved!! I was fascinated by the way the costumes were aged. They looked as if the characters had worn them their whole lives." - Bette Categories: Bette Midler
